MARINEGEL SEALED MARINE BATTERIES

  • World leading gel technology developed and manufactured in Australia.

  • MarineGel is a range of sealed gel batteries suitable for marine applications or a house battery. Unique features include:

  • Designed to be charged by standard battery charging regimes as found in most marine and automotive applications

  • The gel overcomes the problems of stratification and sulphation

  • Much less prone to thermal runaway than other gel batteries

  • Extremely long lifecycle - more than 1,200 cycles to 100% depth of discharge (more than 5,000 cycles at 25% depth of discharge at 25oC), meaning more than 10 years real operational life

  • As a sealed battery it can be installed on its side, is acid spill proof, fire and explosion proof and requires no special ventilation and can be transported as non hazardous cargo

  • Totally recyclable

  • Much more tolerant to overcharging than other sealed batteries

  • Low self discharge rate

  • Requires only 102% energy recharge to reach 100% state of charge.

  • Can be recharged back to 100% capacity very quickly.

Is your boat being ‘eaten’ by electrolysis? This corrosion can be caused by internal electrolysis within your boat, or from stray currents imported into your boat while connected to shore power.

We can fully protect and monitor your investment from the harmful and expensive effects of electrolysis with......

ELECTROLYSIS BLOCKER

When connected to shore power, your boat is automatically connected to all other vessels in the marina. This device isolates your boat from being the grounding point for stray electrical current. Stopping the current entering your boat will prevent electrolysis damage to underwater running gear, skin fittings, heat exchanges. It will add longevity to your anodes and help prevent growth of shell life and barnacles, allowing your boat to maintain speed and exhibit a significant saving in fuel, slipping/antifouling and maintenance costs.

CORROSION MONITOR

The corrosion monitor identifies the metals which are corroding and the rate at which they are corroding. The least noble metal (anodes) sacrifices itself before the more noble metal corrodes (shafts, props, etc). Being over anoded will cause an excessive amount of metal ions to be lost, eg. blistering on metallic vessels and antifoul losses. When vessels are under anoded they will leave their precious metals unprotected, eg. pitting on expensive metallic hull vessels or submerged metals (propellers, shafts, etc. Protect your investment with a corrosion monitoring system. Australian made and owned.
