Enjoying a temperature controlled environment whilst on the road is becoming more affordable and is almost a standard requirement of modern RVs. Camec stocks some of the best caravan air conditioners, all of which are reverse cycle (meaning they can provide both heating and cooling to your van).

Why Should You Buy Caravan Air Conditioners with Us?

Different Types Available

There are many different types of caravan and camper air conditioner to choose from, including: rooftop (mounted externally on the roof), built-in under bunk (usually mounted underneath a bed or inside a cupboard) and split system or built-in (mounted under seating areas, in cupboards or any other cavity).

Just as Effective as Household Units

Providing you have abided by manufacturer guidelines and specifications, caravan air conditioning units can be just as successful as those installed in your home. Be aware that a lack of roof insulation and/or wall panelling can mean a larger unit is required.

Different Sizes Available

Generally speaking, there are 2 main groups – 2 to 2.5 kw (suitable for vans up to 5 metres in length) and 3kw plus (suitable for vans up to 7 metres in length). We stock large to small caravan air conditioners and everything between, ensuring that the needs of your van or motorhome are met with ease.

Professional Installation Preferred

Whilst all units come equipped with a fitting, installation and owner’s manual, it is recommended that a qualified tradesperson handle the installation. This will ensure that everything is connected safely and that the system will work correctly. Contact us for the details of local installers.
