Love Life In A Caravan

As Aussies we love to travel, the sense of adventure and the feeling of freedom. But deciding to hook up the caravan and go travelling for an extended of period of time can be difficult, life altering, and you may face many challenges along the way.

But we can guarantee the positives will outweigh the negatives. Everyone can adapt to life on the road and fall in love with the caravanning lifestyle.

Travel

You might not start out with the travel bug but we can guarantee you will soon discover it. Some people set out with a plan to work north to south or east to west. But not necessarily planning the trip stop by stop or day by day. Take the time to explore, have adventures and get lost in the great outdoors.

Free camping is a great way to discover some unique location. Plus, it’s doesn’t cost anything! Often the free camps are in very picturesque and interesting places, off the beaten track. Throughout Australia there are heaps of free camping options.

A time for you

Most people decided that packing up the caravan means time for them. No deadlines, meetings or commitments. It is their time to travel, to explore Australia, to be inspired by what they see and learn and to rejuvenate.

Living in a caravan full time means it really is just you and where your adventure takes you. You may visit family and friends along the way and meet new people who become friends. But is a great time to reconnect with your travelling partner and really make the most of time together.

Living in a caravan full time
A sense of freedom and adventure

Weather you have retired or have packed up the family for an extended adventure it brings a sense of freedom. Living and travelling in a caravan full time, you no longer need schedules, plans or must meet other people’s expectations. You can simply do your own thing in your own time. Isn’t that priceless?

Rest and rejuvenate

Life on the road can be busy. With so many things to see and do, travelling is sometimes really tiring. (especially if the kids are with you) But, you know what? You can also do nothing if we want. Simply pull up for some much needed RNR, stay a few days, a week or even a month. It is your time you do as little or as much as you like.

Re-evaluating what is important

Before you head off look at what is important to you. Do you want warmer weather, to get away from the hassle and bustle of the city or are you out to make ever lasting memories.

By scaling back to life on the road can be hard but also gives you a chance to re-evaluate your life and lifestyle. Choose what is important to you and how you want to experience your adventure. Plus you can only fit so much into a caravan, so you will be slightly restricted.

Re-evaluate your life and lifestyle
Exercise

Travel is a great motivator to exercise. If you want to see and do things you need to walk. Often you do not have to think about walking 10,000 steps a day.

If you are a gym goer there are plenty of apps available to have access to workouts, yoga and even healthy eating plans. It is all about consistency and routine. Just because you feel like you are on a permeant holiday make the time for exercise and your physical and mental health.

Minimal housework

Living in a caravan means minimal housework. A quick sweep, a quick clean, and it is all done. The biggest jobs are changing the sheets and cleaning the bathroom. WIN WIN in our eyes!

New hobbies

Do you have any hobbies? Or have you not had time for hobbies. Some hobbies you might take up while on the road could be photography, blogging, reading and hiking. Opportunities are endless. With more time and less pressure find what you love and incorporate it into your travels.

At Camec we are all about the joy of travelling, no matter where you’re going and for how long. Visit our knowledge centre for more tips and tricks or contact us today.
